Activated Charcoal
The pouch is beneficial in the fact that it eliminates the need for antibiotics and pain medication due to its ability to remove the infection and reduce the swelling that causes pain. The pouch are used to treat bleeding, swelling, abscess and pain in the teeth and gums.
Inventor’s Discovery
After being told that surgery would be required, along with a costly antibiotic, for a severe infection of a root canal , the inventor created a pouch containing activated charcoal, and tucked it in contact with the swollen gum and infected tooth. After 8 hrs. of treatment the inventor started feeling better, and within 24 hrs. the swelling and infection completely resolved. Surgery was no longer required.
Volunteer # 1
After 3 days of pain and swelling that increased daily the volunteer used one of the dental pouches, where the pouch was tucked in contact with the swollen gum and infected tooth. After 8 hrs. of treatment the volunteer started feeling better, and within 24 hrs the swelling and infection completely resolved.
Volunteer # 2
An elderly female with extensive oral surgery due to a car accident 20 years ago had intermediate and persistent gum bleeding, irritation, and infection around implant posts. Due to the obsolete orthodontics, there were with no surgical options and the only option was repetitive visits to the dentist and prescribed antibiotics. In lieu of another visit and antibiotic round, she applied a dental pouch. After 6 hours of treatment with the dental pouch, the individual reported that the bleeding and discomfort was dramatically dissipated
