About Us
Angie Yonce
Chairwoman and Founder, Angela Yonce formed G.I. Jean in 2019 for research and developmental purposes. Upon the end of active duty with the United States Army in 2013, Angie started Yonce Candleworks, which would later develop into Yonce & Comans Products in 2016. The Hattiesburg area local researched and produced DEGOO cleaner during this time. It was the knowledge learned and observations made from her time as an active duty soldier that prompted the idea for a product like B-Free and a company like G.I. Jean.
“The products we are creating can accommodate a vast number and range of people. By eliminating feminine hygiene issues, B-Free gives females soldiers the ability to participate in missions that require long periods of time without access to water and/or showers. All of our products can prevent and treat bacterial, yeast, and fungal infections; all the while saving consumers money. There are no antibiotics, creams, or laser treatments with B-Free. Doctor visits and prescriptions are not required and the use of B-Free does not result in side effects.”
Caitlyne Shirley
Originally from Clinton, Mississippi, Caitlyne Shirley received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Science in Physical Chemistry from The University of Georgia. Caitlyne is a Co-founder and the CTO for G.I. Jean. Past research projects include the development of various medical devices and quality-of-life products for the military. These occurred with both the Mississippi Polymer Institute and other small businesses.
“I am pleased to be able to provide quality healthcare solutions to the public that are convenient and affordable. As someone who expects the products I buy to be low-cost, perform well, and easy to find and purchase, I am very excited to work on B-Free tampons. We are allowing people to take their personal health into their own hands, on their own terms. I want to be able to continue providing inexpensive and convenient products for home healthcare using my expertise in project management on B-Free and for any products we develop in the future.”

“Honored to be a Co-founder and CEO of GI Jean. Not only does this product continue to surprise us with new treatment results, it’s one of the most meaningful and life-changing products I’ve ever seen. When Angie Yonce approached me about this opportunity, I jumped at it. When you have a chance to work with a team AND a product that gives you 110%, you take it.”
